Locks of Love: Restoring confidence through hair

If you’re looking to donate with style, Locks of Love may be the organization for you. Operating as a not-for-profit organization, Locks of Love accepts hair donations to provide hair prosthetics to financially disadvantaged youth, under 21 years old, who suffer long-term medical hair loss.

Locks of Love began as a not-for-profit organization in 1997 by retired cardiac nurse Madonna Coffman in Palm Beach. In her 20s, Coffman was diagnosed with alopecia areata, a medical condition causing hair loss on parts or all of the body. She later recovered, only to find her 4-year-old daughter suffering from the same condition. Understanding the hardship, Coffman put all her efforts into expanding her charity.
